Description
TOM FORD describes this striking evening dress as ‘impossible’ – and it would be, were it not for the magic of 3D printing. The backless silhouette is defined by an asymmetric neckline that seems to defy the laws of garment construction; in fact, this structural element is created from a body scan. Each piece is then printed (a process that takes up to 72 hours), before being polished, spray-painted and meticulously draped to create a truly showstopping dress.
