For its limited edition Distil Your World series, The Macallan joins forces with the Roca brothers – the chefs behind the three-Michelin-starred restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, twice named the best restaurant in the world. Together, the distillery and the brothers journey to iconic cities, immersing themselves in the people and places that make each one unique. The result of each exploration is a special whisky – the product of dedication, knowledge and insight gathered in each locale.
In Paris, cuisine came to the fore – the city is, after all, renowned for its culinary scene. Flavours abound on the palate in tribute to the art of Parisian dining: the sweetness is creamy, while its tropical and toasted notes (the product of Bourbon casks) are particularly fragrant. European oak casks introduce a touch of spice, Cognac casks offer aromatic richness and sherry-seasoned American oak casks leave a perfumed finish.
